Dr. Elena Iankova
President and Founder at CIBA
Elena Iankova is the Founder and President of the Center for International Business Acceleration. She was also the Founding Director of the Binghamton-Cornell Soft Landing New York Program based at the Koffman Southern Incubator in Binghamton, NY. Elena is an adjunct associate professor of international business at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, Cornell University. She has over twenty years of teaching experience at Cornell and Binghamton Universities in the areas of international business.
In addition to her two books on the political economy of post-communist restructuring (Eastern European Capitalism in the Making, Cambridge University Press 2002; and Business, Government and EU Accession: Strategic Partnership and Conflict, Lexington Books 2009), she has published on political risk management strategies and the impact of multinational corporations on local community development.
Elena holds a PhD degree in industrial relations and international political economy from Cornell University, an M.S. degree in industrial relations from Cornell University, and an M.A. degree in sociology from the University of Sofia, Bulgaria.
