Dr. Fernando Gómez-Baquero has more than 25 years of experience in the nanotechnology industry. His research has focused on advanced nanomaterials for energy storage applications, on the economic impact of pervasive nanotechnologies, and on deeptech entrepreneurship. He is the Director of the Runway Startup Postdoc and the Spinout Porgrams at the Jacobs Technion–Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech, where he is helping postdoctoral entrepreneurs build companies out of AI technologies with investments from Cornell Tech and the Jacobs Technion
Cornell Institute. The programs have been recognized as one of the most outstanding academic commercialization programs in the country. Fernando is also a visiting lecturer at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, Cornell University. He holds a Ph.D. in Nanoscale Science and Engineering from the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering at the University at Albany SUNY.
